Treatment for Heat Rash on Babies Face
The skin of a baby is very soft and delicate just like a rose petal and is thus prone to various skin complications like rashes, cradle crap, acne, milia, diaper rash, eczema etc. heat rashes is the most common problem and occurs mostly during the summer time. Although it is not as serious problem as it looks but with little care, the rashes disappears. In this article we will discuss more about  heat rashes on baby face and how to treat them.
The cause of heat rashes on baby’s face
A baby’s skin is very delicate and his face’s skin is even tenderer. The skin is very sensitive to weather change and thus during summer rashes start appearing on the baby’s face. Since babies have smaller skin pores than adults, when they sweat a lot, the pores start cogging leading to heat rashes. These heat rashes are medically termed as Miliaria Rubra and in common language we call them as prickly heat or summertime rash.
Heat rashes are common during the summer but you may also see such rashes during the winter season. The reason for this may be fever or the material of the cloth that the baby wears. During winter when the baby develops fever his/her body temperature increases and due to excessive clothing, he/she tends to sweat. The sweat is trapped due to heavy clothing and clogs the skin pores, leading to heat rashes.
If the baby wears synthetic clothes, such fabric does not allow air to pass through freely. It results in sweating and clogging of the pores thus causing prickly heat. That’s why  cotton is recommended as the best fabric for baby’s clothes.
